■ Pokémon Bank · End of service
On 25 February 2027 Pokémon Bank shuts down and takes Poké Transporter with it. That is the last official door between the classic games and Pokémon HOME. We are filling the shelves before it closes.
Time left to move a Pokémon out of Bank
Thu 25 Feb 2027, 7:00 p.m. PST Bank and Poké Transporter both go dark
What closes
Bank is the only sanctioned bridge from the Game Boy, DS and 3DS games into Pokémon HOME. Nothing replaces it. Once the servers stop, a Pokémon caught in Crystal or Emerald or Black 2 can never legitimately reach a modern game again.
Service ends
25 Feb 2027
7:00 p.m. PST. Transfers from Bank to HOME stop at the same moment, and anything still sitting in Bank stays there permanently.
Games cut off
Red → Ultra Moon
Generations I through VII, plus Colosseum and XD. Roughly 30 titles lose their only official route forward on the same night.
Second chances
None
Bank has not been downloadable since the 3DS eShop closed in March 2023. If it is not already on your system, the door was shut three years early.
The long way round
A Pokémon caught in Emerald cannot be handed to HOME. It has to walk. Six hops, four consoles, two dead online services — and every hop stamps the Pokémon with data that has to line up. This is the chain we are running, one game at a time, while it still exists.

✕ Link severed 25 Feb 2027 ● Origin and destination Generations VI and VII skip straight to Bank — and die with it just the same
Every hop is a real save file on real hardware. That is why the collection takes months to build, and why it cannot be rebuilt after February.
The shelves
Version exclusives are the whole point of an archive like this. Anyone can save the Pokémon they happened to own. We are going after Ruby and Sapphire, Gold and Silver, X and Y — both shelves, every time, so nothing is missing when the doors open.

Standard of record
An archive is only worth having if you can trust every entry in it. These are the rules the Vault is built to, and the ones we will publish against each Pokémon when it goes live.
Every Pokémon passes through Pokémon HOME before the deadline and comes back out carrying the tracker HOME gave it. Trackers are issued by Nintendo's servers, not written by us — that is exactly why they have to be earned before February.
Each entry starts in its own game and walks the full chain. Met location, met level, original Trainer, ball, language and the game it came from all describe the journey it actually took.
Zangoose and Seviper. Gligar and Delibird. Latios and Latias. Where a Pokémon was locked to one version, we are catching it in that version rather than trading around it.
Nothing enters the Vault until it passes the same legality checks we run on every trade today. If a Pokémon cannot survive inspection, it does not get a shelf.
Opening
The Vault opens before Bank closes. Leave an email and we will send one message the day it goes live — that is the only thing this list is used for.
One email at launch. Unsubscribe in a click. We never share it.
