Order Tyranitar — free

Tyranitar is a Rock/Dark-type Pokémon (National Dex #248) with a pseudo-legendary-tier stat total of 600. You can have one built for Scarlet & Violet, Legends: Z-A, Sword & Shield and BDSP, and every copy is generated through the same PKHeX legality engine Pokémon HOME uses on deposit.

Its best stat is Attack at 134, which makes it a slow but heavy-hitting attacker. Attack outweighs Special Attack by a clear margin, so an Adamant or Jolly nature and a physical move set play to its strengths. When you order one here you pick the nature, EV spread, IVs and Tera type yourself, so you can build the exact spread the set calls for rather than breeding for it.

Defensively, Tyranitar takes super-effective damage from Fighting at 4×, and Water, Grass, Ground, Bug, Steel, Fairy at 2×. It is completely immune to Psychic. It resists Normal, Fire, Poison, Flying, Ghost, Dark. Its ability options are Sand Stream, Unnerve, and you choose which one your copy carries.

Tyranitar evolves into Pupitar (55). You can order any stage directly rather than raising it — useful when you want the final evolution at a specific level, or the pre-evolution with an egg move it can only learn early.

In-game, Tyranitar has 87 recorded encounter locations across Scarlet & Violet (44), Legends: Z-A (23), Sword & Shield (11), BDSP (9) — listed in full below with levels, catchable marks and legal Poké Balls. Note that at least one encounter is shiny-locked in Scarlet & Violet, meaning it cannot be found shiny there no matter how long you hunt. A shiny Tyranitar ordered here is built with a legal PID and Encryption Constant, so it passes the same checks a hunted one does. If you want the honest answer on ban risk before you trade, read Is Pokémon Genning Safe?.

Frequently Asked Questions about Tyranitar

How do I get Tyranitar for free?
Order it on GenPKM. Pick Tyranitar in the Pokédex, choose the level, nature, IVs, EVs, ability, Poké Ball and whether you want it shiny, then our trade bot runs a Link Trade and sends it to your game. It is free, and it takes about a minute once you are through the queue.
Which games is Tyranitar available in?
GenPKM can build Tyranitar for Scarlet & Violet, Legends: Z-A, Sword & Shield, BDSP. Each game has its own move pool and encounter data, so the copy you receive is legal for the specific game you pick.
Is a genned Tyranitar legal in Pokémon HOME?
Yes. Every Tyranitar built here is validated against PKHeX, which applies the same legality rules Pokémon HOME uses when you deposit. It passes HOME without flags and transfers normally between the games that support the species.
What is Tyranitar weak against?
Tyranitar is Rock/Dark-type, so it takes super-effective damage from Water, Grass, Fighting, Ground, Bug, Steel, Fairy. It is immune to Psychic. It resists Normal, Fire, Poison, Flying, Ghost, Dark.
What is the best nature for Tyranitar?
Tyranitar's Attack (134) is well ahead of its Special Attack (95), so a physical nature suits it — Adamant to maximise damage, or Jolly if you want the extra Speed. You choose the nature when you order, so there is no breeding involved.
Which abilities can Tyranitar have?
Tyranitar can have Sand Stream, Unnerve. You select which one your copy carries when you order it, including the hidden ability where the species has one.
Can I get a shiny Tyranitar?
Yes, through GenPKM. Note that at least one in-game encounter for Tyranitar is shiny-locked, so it cannot be found shiny in the wild there. A shiny ordered here is generated with a legal PID and Encryption Constant and passes Pokémon HOME's shiny verification.
