Hippopotas is a Ground-type Pokémon (National Dex #449) with a low stat total of 330. You can have one built for Scarlet & Violet, Legends: Z-A, Sword & Shield, BDSP and Legends: Arceus, and every copy is generated through the same PKHeX legality engine Pokémon HOME uses on deposit.

Its best stat is Defense at 78, which makes it a balanced all-rounder. Attack outweighs Special Attack by a clear margin, so an Adamant or Jolly nature and a physical move set play to its strengths. When you order one here you pick the nature, EV spread, IVs and Tera type yourself, so you can build the exact spread the set calls for rather than breeding for it.

Defensively, Hippopotas takes super-effective damage from Water, Grass, Ice. It is completely immune to Electric. It resists Poison, Rock. Its ability options are Sand Stream, Sand Force, and you choose which one your copy carries.

Hippopotas evolves into Hippowdon (34). You can order any stage directly rather than raising it — useful when you want the final evolution at a specific level, or the pre-evolution with an egg move it can only learn early.

In-game, Hippopotas has 43 recorded encounter locations across Scarlet & Violet (9), Legends: Z-A (4), Sword & Shield (7), BDSP (19), Legends: Arceus (4) — listed in full below with levels, catchable marks and legal Poké Balls. Note that at least one encounter is shiny-locked in Sword & Shield, meaning it cannot be found shiny there no matter how long you hunt. A shiny Hippopotas ordered here is built with a legal PID and Encryption Constant, so it passes the same checks a hunted one does. Frequently Asked Questions about Hippopotas

How do I get Hippopotas for free?
Order it on GenPKM. Pick Hippopotas in the Pokédex, choose the level, nature, IVs, EVs, ability, Poké Ball and whether you want it shiny, then our trade bot runs a Link Trade and sends it to your game. It is free, and it takes about a minute once you are through the queue.
Which games is Hippopotas available in?
GenPKM can build Hippopotas for Scarlet & Violet, Legends: Z-A, Sword & Shield, BDSP, Legends: Arceus. Each game has its own move pool and encounter data, so the copy you receive is legal for the specific game you pick.
Is a genned Hippopotas legal in Pokémon HOME?
Yes. Every Hippopotas built here is validated against PKHeX, which applies the same legality rules Pokémon HOME uses when you deposit. It passes HOME without flags and transfers normally between the games that support the species.
What is Hippopotas weak against?
Hippopotas is Ground-type, so it takes super-effective damage from Water, Grass, Ice. It is immune to Electric. It resists Poison, Rock.
What is the best nature for Hippopotas?
Hippopotas's Attack (72) is well ahead of its Special Attack (38), so a physical nature suits it — Adamant to maximise damage, or Jolly if you want the extra Speed. You choose the nature when you order, so there is no breeding involved.
Which abilities can Hippopotas have?
Hippopotas can have Sand Stream, Sand Force. You select which one your copy carries when you order it, including the hidden ability where the species has one.
Can I get a shiny Hippopotas?
Yes, through GenPKM. Note that at least one in-game encounter for Hippopotas is shiny-locked, so it cannot be found shiny in the wild there. A shiny ordered here is generated with a legal PID and Encryption Constant and passes Pokémon HOME's shiny verification.
